CoRWM provides independent scrutiny and advice to the UK governments on the management of higher activity radioactive wastes. November 2019 – to date: re-appointed to second 4-year term from November 2023. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) - Expert member of the IAEA’s Phase 2 Mission to the Ministry of the Environment, Japan providing support and advice on the managed recycling and final disposal of removed soil arising from decontamination activities after the 2011 Accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
