Joint Subgroup of the Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes (ACNFP) and Committee on Toxicity (COT) on CBD and Hemp Derived Products

The 9^th meeting of the ACNFP/COT CBD Subcommittee will be held at 10:30am on the 1^st of February 2024 at Clive House, 70 Petty France, London SW1H 9EX by invite only and on Microsoft Teams.

Members are reminded of the need to announce any commercial interests in the business of the Committee prior to the discussions on each item.

In accordance with agreed procedures, the Secretariat is duty bound to keep a record of the names of Members who have declared interests at meetings of the Committee, giving dates, names of relevant products and companies, details of the interest declared, and whether the Member took part in the proceedings.

9th Meeting of the ACNFP/COT Subcommittee on CBD and Hemp Derived Products - 1st February 2024 Agenda

1. Apologies and Announcements.

2. Welcome and Introductions.

3. Minutes from the previous meeting – The Secretariat and Subcommittee will review the minutes from November 2023.

4. Analytical Issues Presentation - the Secretariat will provide a presentation on the ongoing analytical issues associated with CBD research and how this can form future correspondence when requesting further compositional data from applicants. CBD09/2024/01

5. Group B assessment discussions – The Subgroup will discuss how to assess mixed cannabinoid products with focus on understanding group B and how the group can be reviewed. CBD09/2024/02

6. THC as a contaminant paper update – The Secretariat will provide an update on the new data for the THC contaminant. CBD09/2024/03
