• β-lactoglobulin RP1571 – The Committee reviewed this novel food application, a biosynthetic form of a milk protein, for the second time. Information gaps were still present, according to requirements of the retained EU novel foods technical guidance, and were identified across identity, production process, composition and allergenicity. The CAD will be updated and reviewed for a final time at the next available meeting, if the applicant returns with the data required to assure safety.
• Solein RP1326 – The Committee reviewed this novel food application, a protein ingredient consisting of heat-inactivated Xanthobacter sp. SoF1 cells, for the second time. Information gaps were still present, according to requirements of the retained EU novel foods technical guidance, and were identified across identity, production process, specification, proposed use levels, nutrition and toxicological information.  The CAD will be updated and reviewed for a final time at the next available meeting, if the applicant returns with the data required to assure safety.
• Fusarium str. flavolapis RP1637 – The Committee reviewed this novel food application, a protein derived from a mycelial biomass, for the second time. Information gaps were still present, according to requirements of the retained EU novel foods technical guidance, and were identified across identity, production process, specification, proposed uses, nutrition and toxicological information. The CAD will be updated and reviewed for a final time at the next available meeting, if the applicant returns with the data required to assure safety.
• Fermotein RP1215 – The Committee reviewed this novel food application, for Rhizomucor pusillus biomass, for the third time. Information gaps were noted across the production process, composition, specification and ADME. The CAD will be updated and reviewed at the next available meeting for a final time.
